A lot of Heart

Friday Denise underwent a 7 hour surgery to repair a defective heart valve. Unfortunately the surgeons were not able to repair the valve so they instead replaced it with the valve of a cows heart.

Denise did very well and was moved into ICU Friday evening, and later moved to a private room on Sunday after removing the various tubes etc from her. The first few days of recovery sucked for her, but she is doing well and sounds good. Mostly she is just dog bored so I am going to try and get her a care package later this week.
